Modernistic Vintage Shop Signs | Branding Mockups
This project that began in late June was based around the idea of modernising a collection of fictional vintage shop signs, with the use of a visual style that would not incorporate any vectors, icons, or photographic imagery.
One essential task for this project was to use a different font for each sign that I felt would visually represent the services of that respective business at best, but to also keep the colour palette to a minimum of three colours in order to ensure that the colours of each design themselves would give off an overall feel that would "reflect" the mood and atmosphere that the inside of the shop itself would have.
To give this project a little more diversity from any other similar project, I decided to use a generator that would randomly combine people's names and types of shops together to not only ensure that no actual shop names would be used, but to also add a sense of humour to the project. The slogans however were mind-mapped by myself.
So be sure to tell me what you think down below in the comments section.
